“And the Good News Is … :Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side” - Perino Book Rap April 24

Dana Perino, press secretary for President George W. Bush and current co-host of "The Five," will discuss and sign copies of her new book “And the Good News Is…:Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side” at an April 24 book rap scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the National Press Club ballroom.

Register here. Tickets are $5 for NPC members; $10 non-members. This event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit NPC Journalism Institute. No outside books or memorabilia permitted. Books must be purchased through the Club. All sales are final.

“And the Good News Is...” traces Perino’s unlikely journey through politics, the White House, and television. From her years as a White House press secretary to her daily debates with colleagues on Fox News' hit show "The Five," Perino reveals the lessons that have guided her through a life of challenges and achievement -- including stories from behind the scenes.

Perino was the first Republican woman to serve as White House Press Secretary. She served for more than seven years in the Bush administration, including at the Department of Justice after the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
