American Legion Post 20 to host Navy's chief of information, Nov. 15

Rear Admiral Ryan Perry, chief of information for the U.S. Navy, will speak at the National Press Club American Legion Post 20's next meeting, on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at noon in the Club's McClendon Room.

All Press Club members are invited to attend this luncheon meeting. This will be a hybrid meeting, with a Zoom component for those who live outside the D.C. area or who cannot get to the Club.

Perry is a 1997 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and holds a master's degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College. A career public affairs officer, his past assignments include PAO for Naval Special Warfare, fleet PAO for the U.S. Third Fleet and special assistant (public affairs) to the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The  Club asks that there be one bill for the lunch purchases, so those attending in person for lunch should bring cash to cover their meal plus tax and gratuity. Members are welcome to bring guests.


American Legion Post 20 is affiliated with the National Press Club, and was founded at the suggestion of famed World War I Gen. John J. Pershing, who was an associate member of the Club at the time.
