A Campaign To End Violence Against Journalists

Reporters Without Borders is spearheading an effort to project journalists and defend access to information around the world. The Protect Journalists campaign calls for the creation of a special representative to the United Nations secretary general for the safety of journalists. The initiative will be discussed during the UN General Assembly in New York on September 16th. Reporters Without Borders U.S. Director Delphine Halgand and the group's U.S. Advocacy and Communications officer, Margaux Ewen, join National Press Club member Matthew Ballard to discuss the safety proposal, press freedom and the upcoming U.S. election.
