Club Entry Information for Members
Proof of Vaccination
Resident/Local members are encouraged to upload a photo of their Vaccination Card to www.press.org/vaxpass. All members and their guests must have proof of vaccination for entry. Exceptions for religious or health reasons should show a recent negative COVID test.
During Your Visit
Each member will be required to enter through the security gates using their assigned key fob or mobile app. If you are a resident member and do not have security access, please contact [email protected] so that someone on our team can set you up with access. If you are a non-resident member visiting the club you should reach out to [email protected] for a QR code for your visit.
Non-vaccinated members and guests should practice social distancing by remaining at least six feet away from other guests and staff.
Face Coverings & Masks
All persons over the age of two must wear face masks inside the club for their own protection and for the protection of other members and guests. The Club has a limited supply of face masks for guests who do not have their own.
Sanitizing & Hand Washing
Members will practice proper hygiene and sanitization including hand washing and the use of touchless hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the Club in accordance with CDC recommendations.
Non-vaccinated members must continue to wear face masks inside the Club and gym to protect themselves and other non-vaccinated guests. Locker rooms, showers and sauna are now open.
The Institute staff is working from home until further notice. The Library will be closed until further notice. Members may not use the shared computers and terminals at this time because of safety concerns. Members should not share newspapers or books.
The Fourth Estate Restaurant
The Fourth Estate is currently closed for lunch and dinner service.
The Reliable Source
The Reliable Source is open with modified hours of operation:
- Lunch Service: We are be open for in-person dining with wait service Monday - Friday from 11:30am-3pm.
- Dinner: Members can order from the dinner menu with wait service on Friday nights.
- Happy Hour & Taco Night: Fridays from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
- The online store will still be an option on evenings not listed above if you want to visit the club and enjoy takeout indoors.
The online store is an excellent option on evenings when the Reliable Source is not open and for non-vaccinated members. Members and guests are encouraged to order from our online menu, eat inside the club or enjoy takeout outdoors. Be on the lookout for our next themed meal kit!
Members wishing to meet with Membership staff should come to the front desk. Members are still encouraged to email [email protected] with your request so that we can best help you.
Front desk staff may ask you for proof of vaccination if we do not have record on file. Staff will also need to see proof of vaccination for guests. Members and guests should not attempt to come behind the front desk, nor should they touch the glass.
What To Expect From Our Facility
All members and visitors must show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID test upon entry. A photo of your vaccination card is acceptable.
We have implemented additional cleaning processes throughout the day, including enhanced janitorial cleaning of our lavatories, doorknobs, handrails, elevator buttons and other frequently touched surfaces multiple times each day with a multi-surface disinfectant cleaner from the EPA’s List N Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2. We are also conducting sterilization cleanings of the entire facility on a regular basis.
You will find multiple touchless hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the Club including in the reception lobby, main lobby, hallways and common areas.
All shared equipment such as podiums, microphones and other A/V resources are sanitized before and after each event use.
Instructive signage is displayed throughout the Club reminding members and staff how to dispose of masks and gloves and the importance of proper handwashing and social distancing.
Non-vaccinated members and guests must wear a mask during for the duration of their visit, except when eating or drinking.
All visitors will be appropriately screened for COVID-19 symptoms. When you arrive at the facility you should expect to have your temperature checked. This check will happen BEFORE you are admitted into the Club. No one with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19 will be permitted to enter.
Building HVAC systems will be flushed with outside air on a regular basis.
