Maintaining Democratic Party Principles

Senator Kennedy outlined his perspectives on the status of Democratic ideology in the wake of the Republican midterm election victory. He emphasized the need to remain true to Democratic principles, such as helping the lower and middle classes and using the government to help these people succeed. He also talked about the importance of clear communication of Democratic values such as love of family, community and country and not letting the Republicans appear as the sole bearers of such ideas.
