Flat Tax
Rep. Armey spoke about his flat tax proposal which would require all eligible taxpayers to pay 17 percent of their income with no deductions. Approximately 20 million current taxpayers would pay no taxes under his plan because their incomes are too low. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience.
