Fitness Center

The National Press Club Fitness Center is located on the 14th Floor. The Fitness Center is a state of the art facility that houses all the essential equipment needed to provide a total body workout. The Center offers members and staff the use of free weights, Peloton, Nautilus equipment, ellipticals, treadmills, flat-screen television monitors, male & female locker-rooms with towel service.

The Fitness Center is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm. The Fitness Center is closed on most national holidays and on weekends.

There are rules and regulations for using the fitness center that apply to both members and staff. They are as follows:

  1. Lockers are for daily use only. You may place items in the lockers at the beginning of the day but they must be removed by the end of the day.
  2. The use of cardiovascular equipment is limited to 24 minutes if others are waiting. Sign-up sheets are provided for those who are waiting.
  3. Patrons are required to wipe down equipment after each use to help prevent possible staph infections and rashes.
  4. Patrons are required to return and replace all weights and benches to their proper places after use. This reduces the risk to other members of accidentally tripping over a weight.
  5. Do not leave damp clothing, gym bags, or other personal items in the sauna room.
  6. If you use a towel, upon completion of your workout, discard your towel properly.
  7. Do not pour water over the heating element of the sauna! Such action could cause the element to short out. You can sprinkle water onto the element for increased humidity.
