Special Event
Historically, in many cultures, women have hosted Salon Nights to talk about the bigger questions of the day. These philosophical and intellectual conversations have fostered communities, ideas, epiphanies, partnerships, and so much more. At these Salon Nights, we will discuss topics ranging from art and creativity to community building and the future of journalism and communications.
Men, we appreciate you, but this meetup is just for those who identify as women.
Gillie Haynes, facilitator and public speaking coach with her business, Simply Speaking, and an Adjunct Professional Lecturer in the School of Communication at American University, will lead the discussion at the Salon. This Salon will focus on how we navigate change, both expected and unexpected, in our personal and professional lives. As participants, you will be invited to share how you have responded to change, the challenges you've faced, and the strategies that have helped you adapt.
A sip and chat will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the seated dinner and discussion at 6:00 p.m.
