Action for Progress, a Bold New, National Bipartisan Initiative to Confront America’s Growing Mental Health and Addiction Crisis Launches Led by Former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy at Healthsperien’s Center for Behavioral Health


Washington, D.C. – At an event at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Monday, February 2nd, Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Marty Makary, MD, MPH, Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy Thomas Keane, MD, and Administration for Children & Families Assistant Secretary Alex J. Adams, PharmD, MPH, will join a bipartisan group of policy leaders and community and health care experts and leaders to announce Action for Progress (A4P), a bold, national bipartisan initiative to confront America’s growing mental health and addiction crisis launched by Healthsperien’s Center for Behavioral Health. 

The new initiative, led by former Congressman Kennedy, is a multi-stakeholder effort bringing together consumers, providers, payers, and community health care leaders to implement solutions that put people and outcomes first. Healthsperien is a leading health policy, research, and strategic advisory firm dedicated to advancing innovative, person-centered solutions that improve health outcomes and strengthen the health system.
