News Conference

ParentsTogether will unveil findings from a groundbreaking national survey of U.S. students in grades 6–12 at a live panel and Q&A at the National Press Club. The survey elevates student voices that are often missing from national discussions on education, showing students largely agree with parents on priorities like mental health, safe and well-funded schools, and strong community support. The data also explores attitudes towards more nuanced topics such as diversity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and religion, highlighting opportunities for more open dialogue both at home and in the media.

The event will bring together a diverse group of student leaders, advocates, and experts from Students Engaged in Advancing Texas (SEAT), Kentucky Student Voices (KSVT), and Seek Common Ground.

Designed for reporters, educators, advocates, and community members, the discussion will share new data, student stories, and actionable ideas to support parent-youth dialogue, media coverage, and policy conversations on today’s most pressing education issues.
