NPC Book Event

Sherrilyn Ifill and Anthony Thompson - A Perilous PathSherrilyn Ifill, President of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and Anthony Thompson, Director of the Center on Race, Inequality and the Law at NYU, will appear together at a National Press Club Headliners Event at 6:30 p.m. on March 6th, the publication date of the book they co-authored with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and author and death penalty lawyer Bryan Stenson entitled “A Perilous Path: Talking Race, Inequality, and the Law.”

With decades of experience defending civil rights between them, Ifill and Thompson will have a candid and honest discussion about the state of race relations in Trump’s America and what the path forward must look like in this country if we are truly to achieve “justice and equality for all.”

This event will feature a discussion with the author, an audience question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Tickets are $5 for National Press Club members and $10 for the general public.

When purchasing tickets for this event online, buyers will also have the option of purchasing copies of the book at check-out. Books will also be available for purchase at the event. Proceeds from book sales will benefit the non-profit affiliate of the Club, the National Press Club Journalism Institute, so we kindly ask that you leave all outside books and memorabilia at home.
