Who:
- Barry Rosen, HAW co-founder and former U.S. Embassy hostage in Tehran, whose release was secured through President Reagan's decisive leadership in 1981.
- Nizar Zakka, HAW President and CEO, who spent four years as a hostage in Iran before his release was negotiated during the Trump administration in 2019.
- Ronen and Orna Neutra, parents of American citizen Omer Neutra, one of the 101 hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza for over 400 days.
- Dr. Shoshan Haran, recently released hostage who spent 50 days in Hamas captivity after being kidnapped along with her daughter and grandchildren on October 7th. Her son-in-law, Tal Shoham, remains in Hamas captivity after more than 400 days.
Details: Hostage Aid Worldwide (HAW) will hold a press conference calling for urgent action to secure the release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, drawing inspiration from President Ronald Reagan's historic 1981 resolution of the Iran hostage crisis. This powerful assembly of voices - spanning from Reagan-era hostages to current hostage families - underscores the critical need for strong leadership and decisive action to secure the release of all remaining hostages in Gaza. The speakers will draw parallels between Reagan's historic resolution of the Iran hostage crisis and the current opportunity for similar bold leadership in addressing the Gaza hostage crisis.
