The Washington, DC premiere of the new documentary, "That Which I Love Destroys Me", followed by a panel discussion will take place on May 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the Ballroom.
The film screening is free and open to the public but registration is required. Refreshments will also be served.
“That Which I Love Destroys Me” offers a candid look at veteran re-integration issues through the eyes of two Special Operations veterans –Tyler Grey and Jayson Floyd – and charts their journey of as they rebuild relationships after coming home.
The documentary is a part of Participant Media’s year-long, multi-platform initiative Return the Service that celebrates the bravery, resilience and contributions of our service men and women, while taking an in-depth look at the challenges they face upon returning home.
The panel discussion will also include special guests from the local DC community such as actress from the television series West Wing and Justice for Vets Senior Director Melissa Fitzgerald.
"That Which I Love Destroys Me" is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, produced by Waugh, Patricia Driscoll, Jonathan Chibnall and Dana Gonzales and was funded by the Armed Forces Foundation.
