National Press Club's Photography Team will hear about an industry-wide project to track the origin and derivatives of images and other digital media on Thursday, Mar. 14 at 2:00 pm ET. Santiago Lyon, education and advocacy director of the Content Authenticity Initiative, will discuss the project with Photo Team and other NPC members over Zoom, but advance registration is required.
The Content Authenticity Initiative or CAI aims to make details about digital media creation, editing, and publishing, starting with images, readily available in a standard format. Adobe Inc., developer of Photoshop and other widely used imaging software, leads CAI, which now has more than 800 global members in the media, technology, and graphic arts industries.
The virtual briefing is open to all NPC members and will be held by Zoom. Registration is required. The Zoom link will be distributed to participants on March 14.
