The international organizers of the world’s first-ever March for Science will discuss their plans and goals at a National Press Club Newsmaker news conference, Mon., April 10 at 10 a.m. in the club’s Murrow Room. On April 22, 428 marches have been scheduled across the world, including the flagship event in the nation’s capital.

Speakers at Monday’s Newsmaker include:

  • Caroline Weinberg, National Co-Chair, March for Science

  • Christine McEntee, Executive Director & CEO, American Geophysical Union

  • Ayana Johnson, Co-Director of Partnerships, March for Science

  • Kristian Aloma, Director, March for Science Chicago

  • Claudio Paganini, Organizer, March for Science Berlin

An unprecedented movement to defend science, the March for Science has grown to include s nearly 100 partner organizations who have pledged to push back against a political climate that organizers claim has become increasingly hostile toward sound, evidence-based science and its value to society.

The National Press Club is located on the 13th Floor of the National Press Building at 529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C. This news conference is open to credentialed media and NPC members, free of charge.

Members of the media who wish to attend should RSVP with Lindsay Underwood at [email protected].
