NPC Luncheon
At a March 7th National Press Club Luncheon, NPR President and CEO Vivian Schiller will discuss NPR’s vision for the future of public radio and the achievements of NPR’s member stations. She also will present her case for continued public support for the 40-year-old media organization. Despite recent rounds of cost cutting, NPR’s audience growth continues to break records. More people than ever use public radio in more ways - commuters listen in traffic, joggers stream audio from their mobiles, and readers go to the web or their iPad for the latest on global events and world music.
Luncheon will be served served at 12:30 p.m. with the speech beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. Cost of tickets is $18 for Press Club members, $29, for guests of members, and $36 for general admission. To reserve tickets, please e-mail [email protected] or call 202-662-7501. Tickets must be paid for at time of reservation.
To submit a question in advance, put SCHILLER in the subject line and email to [email protected] before 11 a.m. on the day of the luncheon.
