NPC Luncheon

Richard TrumkaJust beyond the halfway-mark in President Donald Trump's first 100 days in office, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka will give a major address at a National Press Club Luncheon on April 4, assessing opportunities around trade and infrastructure that could create jobs, as well as possible threats to workers' rights. President Trumka will talk about the labor movement's strategy to create a unifying agenda for working families, and the importance of ensuring that all workers - union and non-union - have the right to bargain collectively for better wages and working conditions.

Since 2009, Richard Trumka has served as president of the 12.5 million-member American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the largest organization of labor unions in the country.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for Press Club members (NPC Members may purchase 2 tickets at this rate) and $39 for all other non-member tickets. For questions, please email [email protected] or call (202) 662–7501. Tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase.

NPC Members who wish to attend the pre-luncheon reception must RSVP separately to [email protected] 48 hours before the event. Space may be limited. You must have a paid reservation to the Luncheon to attend the VIP reception.

To submit a question in advance, put TRUMKA in the subject line and email to [email protected] before 10 a.m. on the day of the luncheon.
