Join Chef José Andrés, founder of World Central Kitchen, for a Headliners fireside chat on Friday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the National Press Club. He will discuss World Central Kitchen's efforts to distribute food in conflict and disaster zones.
In Gaza, World Central Kitchen is providing more than 60% of all NGO food aid in the conflict zone. The organization so far has served more than 30 million meals, dispatched and delivered more than 1,200 trucks, participated in an airdrop of humanitarian supplies to the hard to reach northern area of Gaza, and has a boat in Cyprus prepared to head to the Middle East with food.
World Central Kitchen is also entering its third year of feeding people in Ukraine. In addition to its conflict zone activities, World Central Kitchen is responding to wildfires in Chile.
Tickets cost $10 for members of the National Press Club and $15 for the general public. Registration is required and includes a drink ticket. Join us for small bites, a drink and mingling ahead of the program. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The program will include a question-and-answer session. To submit a question in advance for Andres, put “WCK” in the subject line and email to [email protected].
Following the event, continue the conversation with guests in the Holeman Lounge where dinner will be available for purchase.
