NPC Book Event

Washington Post reporter and National Press Club member Robert Costa will speak at a National Press Club in-person Headliners Book Event on Monday, Oct. 4. Costa will discuss “Peril,” the soon-to-be released book he wrote with journalist and Club member Bob Woodward. The book covers President Trump’s final year in office, his management of the coronavirus pandemic, attempts to overturn the 2020 election and the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will include a question-and-answer session moderated by NPC Membership Secretary and Senior Congressional Reporter for Bloomberg Government, Emily Wilkins. To submit a question in advance for the speaker, put PERIL on the subject line and email to [email protected].

Members, guests and visitors must show proof of vaccination at the entrance to the Club. This can be a physical copy of your vaccination card, or a photo of it on your mobile device. If you cannot show proof of vaccination, you must show a recent negative COVID-19 test (within 48 hours). If you would prefer to upload your vaccination record in advance of the event, you may do so at www.press.org/vaxpass. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and members are encouraged to enjoy lunch in the Reliable Source ahead of the book talk.

Tickets cost $5 for members of the National Press Club and $10 for the general public.

Preordered books will be available for pickup and signing at the event. Attendees will also be able to purchase books at the door.
