The Education of Brett KavanaughOne year ago, amidst the backdrop of the #MeToo movement, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford decided to send a letter in confidence to a leading Democratic lawmaker alleging that her former high school classmate and Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her when they were teenagers. The FBI was given 1 week to investigate the allegations, but even after Kavanaugh’s confirmation, two New York Times reporters - Robin Pogrebin, who was in Kavanaugh’s undergraduate class at Yale, and Kate Kelly, who grew up not far from his childhood home – kept digging.

On September 18, Pogrebin and Kelly will share the findings of their yearlong investigation into our newest Supreme Court Justice, “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh,” at a National Press Club Headliners book event at 6:30 p.m.

This event will feature a moderated discussion with the authors, an audience question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Tickets cost $5 for members of the National Press Club and $10 for the general public.

Preordered books will be available for pickup and signing at the event. Attendees will also be able to purchase books at the door. Proceeds from the book sales benefit the National Press Club’s non-profit affiliate, The National Press Club Journalism Institute, so we kindly ask that you leave all outside books at home.
