NPC Communicators Legends Dinner with Doug Poretz

Doug Poretz, an accomplished communications executive and entrepreneur who co-founded Qorvis Communications, will be the featured guest at a National Press Club Communicators Legends Dinner on Thursday, June 9.

Poretz launched a public affairs office for Alexandria City Public Schools in Virginia during the racial integration of the school system, depicted in Remember the Titans. His career now spans more than 50 years in public relations, launching his own firms and working in-house at some of the largest publicly traded companies. Among his entrepreneurial endeavors was a one-person investor relations firm that would become an international public relations agency.

Poretz will discuss his career, lessons learned and what he now sees as an explosive revolution in the communications industry – and what it means for public relations professionals everywhere.

A three-course dinner with wine will be served for $62 per person. Cash bar reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Business attire.
