Health communication has life or death consequences. During the global pandemic, uncertainty and changing public health guidance has bred distrust and an onslaught of false and misleading information about precautions and vaccine safety.

The COVID-19 global pandemic has been a particularly challenging experience given the severity of the virus, the evolving health guidelines, and the different policies enacted at the city, state, and country levels worldwide.  Agreeing on the baseline facts has never been harder before — especially for public health.

On Wednesday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m., experts in public health, psychology and communication will participate in an online/virtual program to address continued challenges and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic to improve engagement and build public trust and understanding for health reporting and communications. Experts include:

•  Louis Laurence, Investigative Researcher for the Tobacco Control Research Group at the University of Bath
•  Dr. Todd Wolynn, CEO Kids Plus Pediatrics
•  Dr. Dolores Albarracín, Penn Integrates Knowledge Professor and Director of the Social Action Lab at the University of Pennsylvania
•  Megan Manning, Associate Director Of Communications at Action on Smoking and Health (Moderator)

This online/virtual event is open to NPC Members ONLY free of charge. NPC members may register online at https://bit.ly/3hgdAAy

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
