National Salvation Front of Iran Announces Nation-Wide Operation in Iran to Remove and Replace the Clerical Regime

WASHINGTON: The National Salvation Front (NSF) of Iran, the largest democratic opposition organization inside Iran, has announced in Washington, D.C., that the Iranian people have launched a nation-wide operation in Iran to peacefully remove the clerical regime and replace it with a democratic transition government.  The NSF represents a broad cross-section of Iranian society – all professions, occupations, religions and age groups. It is committed to establishing a secular, freely elected democratic government under a new constitution guaranteeing the rights and freedom of all Iranian citizens.

The Iranian people are now engaged in bringing about the “controlled collapse” of the Khomeneist regime and immediate replacement by a transitional caretaker government at the national and provincial levels. The interim government will serve until a democratic government is elected by the Iranian people under a new constitution approved by them. The NSF is leading this national operation to peacefully remove the regime while protecting the Iranian people during the ensuing turmoil and providing for their immediate needs. In order to preserve the stability of Iranian society NSF seeks to minimize violence as much as possible.

The National Salvation Front welcomes other Iranian democratic opposition groups who want to join with us in a coalition of the willing to remove the outlaw Tehran regime. NSF has informed the government of the United States of the initiation of this nation-wide operation. The Iranian people neither need nor desire any outside military operations to secure their freedom. They ask for no lethal aid from the United States or its allies in the Middle East.

The NSF requests that the U.S. administration continue its maximum pressure campaign applying the strictest sanctions possible on the regime and lift them only upon notification by NSF of the collapse of the regime.

The National Salvation Front of Iran will hold a Press Conference at the National Press Club in the Zenger Room on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. The NSF will keep the United States government and public informed of developments in the liberation of Iran from the clerical regime.
