The more dangerous state of the world and the need for fit leadership

This special conference will be held in the Ballroom of the National Press Club on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.  The last hour will be a reception.  Use Eventbrite to register and attend.

We are at an extremely critical time right now. That is why we will be convening this major, unique, impacting conference a few weeks before the impending presidential election.

At no time has mental fitness in leadership been more important.  Yet, at no time have we had a presidential campaign where mental fitness has been a more precarious issue.  The year before the 2020 presidential election, our major conference, also at the National Press Club, “The Dangerous State of the World and the Need for Fit Leadership,” conference was considered important enough that it was broadcast for all 3 hours on C-Span.  As never before or since, we brought together thirteen highly respected experts from many different areas of expertise, including psychiatry, law, political science, economics, history, journalism, climate science, and nuclear science. This year, a new book by mental health experts will be released, issuing anew their ever more dire warnings.

We have a special website solely dedicated to this upcoming conference.  Registration is now open.  The conference will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. ET, when we will hear from and interact with the foremost experts on presidential fitness of our time.  Your ticket will also allow you to attend the post-conference reception with hors d’œuvres and drinks, where you will be able to meet and talk with the panelists.

4. Research results revealing that mental health experts overwhelmingly believe it is our duty to educate the public about dangerous leadership

About the World Mental Health Coalition

In 2017, we saw that mental health associations were abdicating their responsibility under political pressure and keeping silent about an unprecedented public health emergency.  As a result, we decided to form our own organization and to step in where others placed self-preservation and profit over their ethical duty to protect society.  We now know that an overwhelming majority of mental health professionals agree with our stance.  This is how we became the nation’s first and largest mental health professionals-only organization to address the issue of dangerous leadership and our professional societal responsibility.
