Chef & Author Dinner
Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson, a Food Network favorite and a James Beard Award winner, will showcase dishes from his famed Red Rooster Harlem restaurant at a cookbook dinner on Monday, Jan. 30.
Samuelsson's Red Rooster opened in Harlem in 2010 to great acclaim with its wide-ranging menu of American comfort food pepped with hits of Samuelsson's Swedish and Ethiopian roots. The restaurant ushered in a dining renaissance in the New York City neighborhood. On the menu, such American favorites as brown butter biscuits and chicken and waffles converge with globally influenced such as jerk bacon and baked beans and Ethiopian spice-crusted lamb.
The dinner will feature recipes from Samuelsson's newest cookbook, "The Red Rooster Cookbook: The story of food and hustle in Harlem."
