The purpose of this team is to collect and record the history of the Press Club and its impact on journalism.

The meeting begins with a self-funded lunch from the Reliable Source followed by a hybrid meeting with members of the History & Heritage Team.

The meeting will include remarks from guest speaker, Nancy Groce, who has been the Senior Folklife Specialist at the Library of Congress since 2007. Prior to her position at the Library, she spent seven years as a curator at the Smithsonian’s Center for Folklife & Cultural Heritage. Groce is currently focused on her special project, “America Works,” a podcast that explores the work lives of average Americans and is now in its sixth season. Renowned for her outstanding contributions to folklife, Groce is celebrated not only as a superior folklorist but also for her sense of humor, as showcased in her groundbreaking work, the “Musicians Jokebook,” published by Schemer Books/Macmillan.
