Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and lead author of the House police reform bill (the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act) which passed the House June 26, will update media and the public on subsequent House-Senate action, at a National Press Club Virtual Newsmaker on Thursday, July 16, at 2:00 p.m. ET.

This 1-hour program will stream live at 2:00 p.m. ET and is accessible to both media and members of the public free-of-charge. Rep. Bass’s remarks will be followed by a moderated question-and-answer session with National Press Club Vice President and AP U.S. Video Assignment Manager Lisa Matthews.
