NPC Book Event

Amie Parnes, senior correspondent for The Hill, and Jonathan Allen a senior political analyst for NBC News, will discuss their book, “Lucky: How Joe Biden Barely Won the Presidency,” at a National Press Club Headliners virtual book event at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10.

Their dogged reporting goes behind the scenes to explain how Biden's campaign almost failed then recovered through a string of game-changing breaks. With extraordinary access to key players in both the Democratic and Republican campaigns, Allen and Parnes deliver an inside look at power plays, miscalculations and the struggles within both parties.

The one-hour program will stream live on the Club’s website and YouTube Channel as part of the National Press Club’s Virtual headliner series, and is accessible to both the press and general public free-of-charge.

Opening remarks from Parnes and Allen will be followed by a moderated question-and-answer session with National Press Club Past President, Jeff Ballou of Al Jazeera Media Network. Viewers may send their questions for the author duo, which will not be seen by them in advance, via e-mail to [email protected]. Please put “Lucky,” in the subject line.
