NPC Headliners Newsmaker: House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chairman of the House Oversight Committee, will speak at a National Press Club in-person Headliners Newsmaker on Monday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. in the Ballroom.

Comer is the chairman of the House Oversight Committee now that Republicans have taken control of the House of Representatives. Comer has said the Oversight Committee under Republican control will focus on rooting out waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in the federal government and holding the Biden Administration accountable. He also promised to investigate President Biden's son, Hunter for alleged "influence peddling," the crisis at the southern border, the origin of the COVID-19 virus and the use of U.S. funds at a research lab in China, and the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Comer will offer brief remarks followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 11 a.m.
