Jesse Dylan, director and executive producer of “Soros,” a documentary about billionaire activist, investor and “The Man Who Broke the Bank of England” George Soros, will appear at a National Press Club virtual event to discuss the film and its somewhat mysterious subject on Friday, April 16 at 2 p.m.

This one-hour program is accessible to both the media and members of the general public free-of-charge, however registration is required. National Press Club members who register for the event will receive a link to view the film, free-of-charge, in advance of the event. Members of general public are encouraged to access the film at www.sorosfilm.com.

Most recently the target of Myanmar’s government, which detained an employee of his philanthropic foundation, and often the focus of conspiracy theories, Soros is notoriously media-shy. Dylan speaks to him, his supporters and his detractors, about his political activism, philanthropic endeavors and personal history, including his experience as a Jew during the Holocaust. Dylan is the director of the “Yes We Can” video on behalf of Barack Obama and is son of Nobel laureate Bob Dylan.

Joining the discussion with Dylan will be Lisa Matthews, President of the National Press Club, and Paul Farhi, media reporter for The Washington Post. To submit a question for the panel, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line Soros.
