Thhis month we'll be having an informal conversation with Brendan O'Meara, a freelance journalist, author and the host of the Creative Nonfiction podcast, which has a sporty 4.9 rating on Apple and got a boost in June when the popular Longform podcast hit the lights and recommended O'Meara's CNF podcast to its listeners.
 
Across more than 400 episodes, his interviews with journalists aim to pop open the hood of a feature story or book for a look at the mechanisms that make it go. But O'Meara is also uniquely willing to be transparent—and able to inspire his guests to do the same—about their processes, insecurities and foibles, I've been listening for a year or so and have found the show to be really helpful, equally, for its writerly focus and its commiseration among journalists.
