News Conference

On August 12 at 11am Elected Officials to Protect America (EOPA) will address the importance of the Inflation Reduction Act to help fight the climate crisis as it reduces our carbon footprint, creates jobs, lifts up Justice40 communities, and helps our energy security.

Actress/writer/producer Yetide Badaki known for Star Trek will speak about the importance of the IRA for environmental justice and Justice40 communities. Elected officials who are veterans will talk about the it helps protect our nation as it lessens our dependence on fossil fuels, eventually making America energy secure.

An investor will explain how the IRA is helping innovative solutions to the climate crisis become a reality. An elected official from England will speak about how the IRA is an example around the world. A former UK Marine will address how clean energy protects nations globally.

Other US elected officials will cover how the IRA is transforming their state by helping individuals save funds while improving everyone’s quality of life.

Its Justice40 mandate recognizes the underserved communities that have been left behind. With IRA funding flowing to these areas many of them have begun to see investments in clean energy that helps individuals and families save on utility bills, and breathe cleaner air. Additionally, new job opportunities with training are provided by the IRA specifically for these areas. To achieve equality—we must solve and work for environmental justice for all. The IRA puts us on that path.
