Join the NPC Events Team for a screening of FRONTLINE's "Democracy on Trial" followed by a discussion with Producer Mike Wiser (joining the discussion virtually) and former Senior Investigative Counsel for the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol Temidayo Aganga-Williams.

Watch the trailer here.

"FRONTLINE investigates the roots of the criminal cases against former President Trump stemming from his 2020 election loss. With the presidential race for 2024 underway, veteran political filmmaker Michael Kirk and his team examine the House Jan. 6 committee’s evidence, the historic charges against Trump and the threat to democracy."

Temidayo Aganga-Williams is partner at Selendy Gay, a litigation law firm based in New York City.  Prior to joining Selendy Gay, Temidayo served as Senior Investigative Counsel for the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol.  As Senior Investigative Counsel, Temidayo was responsible for investigating the facts, circumstances, and causes of the attack and issues relating to the peaceful transfer of power. In that role, he conducted depositions and interviews of dozens of witnesses, including senior advisors to former President Trump, provided legal and strategic guidance on novel congressional investigation issues, coordinated the presentation of evidence for nationally televised hearings, and contributed to the Select Committee’s final report.  Before that, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Mike Wiser has worked on more than 40 films for FRONTLINE since joining the Kirk Documentary Group in 2003. An award-winning writer and producer, he has reported on national security, foreign affairs, sports, criminal justice, and the global financial crisis.

Mike graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury College, attended the London School of Economics as a General Course student and received a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Harvard Law School.
