Empathy and EyebrowsDanni Starr, influential media personality and mental health advocate and activist, will share her memoir "Empathy and Eyebrows: A Survivalist's Stories on Reviving Your Spirit After Soul-Crushing Sh*tstorms" at a National Press Club Headliners Book Event on Tuesday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Starr, who can be heard every morning as the co-host of The Fam in The Morning on Radio One DC's WKYS 93.9 FM and seen weekly as the host of TLCme Now on the TLC network, has a long history of using her platform to create a positive change in the lives of others. She has served as a spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, and after battling postpartum depression and anxiety she spoke openly about her experiences and launched her own groundroots campaign to erase the stigma surrounding the diagnosis and give hope to other women struggling with mental health issues. The Office of Women's Health named her an ambassador for her postpartum advocacy, and in 2017, she was recognized as Ambassador of the Year.
