A conversation with photographer Michael McCoy

The Photography Committee's next program is Thursday, 29 October at 2:00 p.m. ET, featuring a conversation with Michael McCoy, who calls himself "a storyteller through photography and my camera lens." Photo Committee co-chair Cheriss May will moderate the session.

McCoy is a Baltimore native who served two tours in Iraq, and whose work appears in Time Magazine, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Wall Street Journal, among others, as well as Getty Images. He says that after his service in Iraq, "The camera is my saving sanctuary," and adds, "Photography crystallizes a moment in time and gives the opportunity of experiencing life through the eyes of others."
