“Combating Corruption” Public Citizen Forum to feature Senators Schumer (NY-D), Whitehouse (RI-D) and more

The event will address corporate and government corruption tactics and policy solutions

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Thursday, July 30, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am ET, at the National Press Club in Washington DC, Public Citizen will host a forum called “Combating Corruption” featuring a panel of anti-corruption policy experts and special remarks by Sen. Charles Schumer (NY-D), Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (RI-D).

ALL PRESS MUST REGISTER HERE TO ATTEND

Public Citizen’s “Combating Corruption” will dive into topics such as money in politics, contracting scandals, pay-to-play schemes and family enrichment deals for elected officials. Right now, the insatiable greed of corporations, billionaires and morally bankrupt politicians is harming the lives of everyday Americans and U.S. democracy. As a part of a month-long series on addressing government and corporate corruption, the event will highlight the work of Public Citizen and that of its allies who are at the helm of combating corruption at every level.
