Campaign Boot Camp 2014: Ethics
In the next installment of our yearlong program covering the landscape of issues that come up in campaign coverage, a panel of experts will engage members of the audience in a roundtable discussion about a variety of ethics topics.
The program is free, and will be held Wednesday, May 14, starting at 9:30 a.m. in The First Amendment Lounge of the National Press Club.
Bring your questions about
· lobbying disclosure
· the Office of Congressional Ethics and ethics committees
· rules covering members travel and meals
· proper and improper uses of campaign funds
· when contributions cross a line into bribery, illegal gratuities or honest services fraud
Panelists include Meredith McGehee, Campaign Legal Center; Melanie Sloan, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington; Tom Susman, American Bar Association; and Kathy Kiely, Sunlight Foundation.
