Building on their existing national labor agreement with the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers (IBB), Bartlett Maritime Corporation will enter into a Multi-Union Rotational Workforce Program National Labor Framework Agreement that includes the IBB as well as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW); the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA);  the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM); and the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART).

This multi-union agreement is the next step in the development of Bartlett Maritime Corporation’s innovative Rotational Workforce Program and sets the stage for the near-term deployment of hundreds of qualified, experienced skilled trades workers to American shipyards.

Bartlett Maritime Corporation was founded in 2019 to address the crisis in submarine maintenance through aggressive, innovative measures that seek to leverage the industrial capacity of the Great Lakes region and the extensive experience of the company’s leadership team in the naval shipyard and nuclear-powered submarine industry.
