Author Jennifer London is the featured speaker at the next meeting of the National Press Club's affiliated American Legion post. Post 20's luncheon meeting takes place on Wednesday, May 8 at noon in the Cosgrove Room. All Press Club members are invited.

Dr. London plans to discuss her new book, Profiles in Character: Sixteen Americans and the Traits That Defined Them. The Americans profiled in her book include Ronald Reagan, Amelia Earhart, Frederick Douglass, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Harry Truman.

Dr. London holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Ohio State University, and she completed postdoctoral education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Business. As president of her own consulting firm, she has advised clients on strategic planning, business development, marketing, and community relations.

Post 20 has been affiliated with the Press Club since the post's charter in 1919. The post was founded at the urging of famed World War I General John J. Pershing, who was an associated member of the Press Club at the time.

This will be a hybrid meeting, with a Zoom component for those who live outside the DC area or who cannot get to the Press Club. The Zoom link is posted below. 

The Press Club requests that attendees to this lunch combine everything into one bill. Attendees are asked to bring cash. Cash collected in excess of the bill will be given to the wait staff as a tip. Guests are welcome.
