American Legion Post 20 Meeting

A Vietnam veteran who served at the far tip of the spear plans to describe his experiences at the next meeting of the National Press Club's American Legion post. Post 20's luncheon meeting will take place at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 12 in the McClendon Room. All Press Club members are invited.

Brian Zimmer will discuss his service with MACV/CORDS, or Military Assistance Command-Vietnam/Civil Operations and Revolutionary Development Support, and the associated Phoenix Program. The Phoenix Program targeted Viet Cong leadership.  

To facilitate the luncheon meeting, those who attend in person are asked to use the buffet rather than making individual orders, and to bring $30 in cash to cover the buffet lunch, tax, and tip. The cash will be collected to pay for the luncheon in one bill.
