Save the date for this exciting workshop by one of the nation's top prose experts. On Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 9:30 a.m., writing instructor Roy Peter Clark leads "Writing Tools: Essential Strategies for Every Writer," a session geared toward giving writers specific strategies and tools to improve their craft.
The 90-minute session, hosted by the Eric Freidheim National Journalism Library's Professional Development Committee, offers attendees 90 writing secrets in 90 minutes. Clark is a senior scholar at the Poynter Institute. His talk will also touch his latest book, a manual of modern writing titled, The Glamour of Grammar (see the New York Times review at http://tinyurl.com/nytroyclark). The book is a sequel to his other tome, Writing Tools: 50 Essential Strategies for Every Writer. Copies of both works will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
The event, to be held in NPC's Zenger Room, is free for NPC members, and $35 for nonmembers. Space is limited; first come, first served. To reserve a seat, contact [email protected] with your name and NPC member number or billing preference.
