During Black History Month, a panel of national experts on community violence will discuss the public health crisis of gun violence in communities of color and the cutting-edge solutions that can create safe and vibrant communities.
The discussion will be moderated by Emefa Addo Agawu, a Washington Post writer and producer of the Post’s Editorial Board project, Reimagine Safety, with opening remarks by Julie Rodriguez, Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
Panelists will include Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott; Fatimah Loren Dreier, Executive Director of the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention; Anthony Smith, Executive Director, Cities United, and Aqeela Sherrills, Executive Director of the Community Based Public Safety Collective and Community Violence Intervention Collaborative Advisor, Hyphen Partnerships.
