On Wednesday, June 12, Unisys will present the findings of the 2019 Unisys Security Index survey at a press conference in the First Amendment Lounge of the National Press Club at 9:00am ET. Unisys has conducted this survey – the longest running snapshot of security concerns conducted globally – since 2007 to provide an ongoing, statistically-robust measure of concern about security. This year’s survey focused on people's perceptions of their physical and cyber security when it comes to attending large-scale events such as a sporting event, concert or festival. The results of the survey will be presented by Unisys’ Chief Trust Officer, Tom Patterson. Guest speakers Scott Breor, Deputy Director at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Peter Ford, retired state department official and former U.S. Olympic Security Coordinator, will provide a government perspective on protecting attendees at large gatherings.
Additional Unisys executives to attend include Mat Newfield, Chief Information Security Officer, PV Puvvada, President of Unisys Federal, and Mark Forman, Global Head, VP and General Manager, Public Sector.
The Unisys Security Index survey covers changing consumer attitudes over time across eight areas of security in four categories: national security and disaster/epidemic, in the National Security category; bankcard fraud and financial obligations, in the Financial Security category; viruses/hacking and online transactions, in the Internet Security category; and identity theft and personal safety, in the Personal Security category.
