Special Event

The National Press Club is hosting Robert Malley, President & CEO of the International Crisis Group (ICG). The former White House foreign affairs adviser will discuss the 10 conflicts to watch in 2020 on January 28th at 9:30 a.m.

The ICG is an independent organization working to prevent wars and shape policies that aim to build a more peaceful world. Founded in 1995, they have offices and staff around the globe and a presence in the most volatile conflict zones.

Malley previously served at the National Security Council under Barack Obama where he acted as the president’s advisor on ISIS. Prior to that, Malley served in the Clinton administration as Director for Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs at the National Security Council and helped organize the 2000 Camp David Summit.

Please join us to listen to Malley’s analysis of what journalists and others can expect this year in a world more polarized, fragmented and dangerous than ever.

The event is organized by the National Press Club’s International Correspondents Committee (ICC). It is free for members and accredited press and $5 fo non-members.
