NGA chair to speak on innovative state solutions at Oct. 2 Club luncheon

Utah Gov. Gary R. Herbert, newly-appointed chairman of the National Governors Association, will lay out his 2015-16 Chair’s Initiative, “States: Finding Solutions, Improving Lives,” at a National Press Club Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 2.

Innovative solutions to today’s challenges are happening every day at the state level, and Herbert’s initiative is designed to highlight governors’ solutions to today’s most pressing problems, enhance a more collaborative state-federal partnership, and share best practices.

Herbert has been Utah's governor since 2009.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $23 for National Press Club members (NPC Members may purchase two tickets at this rate) and $37 for all other nonmember tickets.
