“Politicians vs. Press” Spelling Bee Returns to National Press Club Wednesday, Sept. 21

Once again the legendary National Press Club will be alive with laughter, friendly competition, cheers and jeers when the hilarious “Politicians vs. Press Spelling Bee” returns to the Press Club on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
2013 Spelling Bee champion Sen. Tim Kaine (R-Va.) leveraged his victory into a vice presidential nomination. 2015 victor Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) will be back to defend his title this year against fellow lawmakers and a rejuvenated Washington press corps that is seeking its first ever victory in the history of the event that drew more than 400 spectators last year.
Tickets for this event are available now online using the link below. General public tickets are $15; NPC members can log into their account for a discounted $10 ticket. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the National Press Club Journalism Institute which provides training, resources, education and career development programs to media and communications professionals, awards scholarships to the next generation of journalists and continually recognizes excellence in journalism and advocates for press freedom worldwide.
