Mediterranean cuisine, special drinks for next buffet night at the Reliable Source, May 23

National Press Club members and their guests are invited to indulge in the delicious Mediterranean seafood buffet coming to the Reliable Source Thursday, May 23. No need to fly to the Mediterranean for the best cuisine and music, it's coming to you here in Washington.

A special selection of seafood and themed drinks will be available starting at 5:30 p.m. that evening. Come early, and then at 7 p.m. join the Jazz Night downstairs for your musical entertainment. The Reliable Source will have background music during your dining experience, but the live jazz performance, which is free and for members and their guests in the First Amendment Lounge, is separate programming.

The buffet cost for members is $35 per person. Member guests will pay $45 per person. And for an additional $5 per person, members may order the Mediterranean Special, which includes 2 oysters and a glass of sparkling wine.

To secure your spot, contact the Reliable Source at [email protected], (202) 662-7443 or make a reservation online

Last fall and each month so far this year have seen the return to monthly special dinners in the Reliable Source, and they've been a hit with Club members.

Member Lorna Mae Devera said of the April event: "It was great to see you at the Asian-themed buffet dinner Thursday night. The food was amazing, and the entertainment was wonderful! My guests and I loved everything, especially the desserts. My dad was impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the Turon. He was pleasantly surprised to see an authentic Filipino dessert as part of the spread and served with ice cream, too! It was significantly meaningful for him as he is a Filipino immigrant. It was a lovely evening, and as always, the staff were impeccable. We're looking forward to the next themed buffet!"
