Tony Horton to lead workout, sign books, June 9

Tony Horton, celebrity trainer and creator of the P90X Extreme Home Fitness System, will lead a workout session at the National Press Club on Thursday, June 9.

Following the workout, Horton will host a signing event for his new book “Bring It!”

The event is part of a week of activities leading up to the 14th Annual National Press Club Beat the Deadline 5K on June 11. Horton will serve as honorary race marshal.

The public is welcome to attend the workout, but space is limited. To purchase tickets, go to www.press.org/5K. The cost is $10 for general public; $5 for Club members. Books will be available for purchase on site. No outside books or DVD’s are permitted.

All proceeds from the workout, book event and 5K will go to the scholarship and educational efforts of the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library, which promote diversity in the profession.
