Talking Baseball with MLB Commissioner on next Kalb Report Monday, Sept. 28

Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred will be host Marvin Kalb’s guest Monday Sept. 28, for a one-on-one discussion to explore the beauty, simplicity, complexity, humor and historical significance of Our National Pastime -- baseball.

Manfred has served as an MLB executive since 1998 and became the tenth commissioner in January. He has lost no time in instituting his own ideas of how to improve the game.

A lifetime baseball fan, Kalb said this interview offers him a unique opportunity to examine the game. “I have but an hour of his time, and a lifetime of questions,” he said.

The program begins sharply at 8:00 p.m. in the ballroom. The audience should be seated at least 15 minutes ahead of time. Admission is free but seats are limited. Club members can reserve by calling the Front Desk 202-662-7500.
