Next 'Get It Online' discussion: Baseball reporting, from transistors to Twitter, noon July 20

Enjoy a delicious buffet and talk Nationals baseball with Phil Wood, host of “Nat’s Talk” on MASN, television home of the Washington Nationals, at the National Press Club’s next “Get It Online” lunch discussion Wednesday, July 20, at noon in the Games Room.

Woods will discuss how baseball reporting has changed with the advent of social media. The "Get It Online" discussion series brings experts in social media to the Club for a lunch discussion. Speakers deliver a short presentation and then answer questions.

Cost of the event is $15 for Club members and $25 for nonmember guests, which includes a buffet lunch, water and iced tea, tax and gratuity. Register online by clicking here.

Members and guests should plan to be seated by 12 noon, and the event will conclude by 1:30 p.m.

Woods hosts “Nationals Talk Live,” a post-game call-in show on the Nationals’ radio network, and appears regularly on MASN's “Mid Atlantic Sports Report.” He's the co-host of “Nats Talk,” now in its fifth season, with former major league lefty Mike Wallace every Saturday morning on MASN. He occasionally fills in for Ray Knight as pre-and-postgame analyst on MASN's “Nats Xtra.”
